Entrepreneur extraordinaire 40XL, is an authentic rap artist, experienced clothing and brand marketer, and an emerging entrepreneur from Brooklyn, NY, raised in Queens. At the age of 16, 40XL formed the group “5 Family Click” with Kool G Rap, and their album, released at the age of 18, made the Top 100 Billboard charts. From their bond, he continued to meet and work with greats like Nas and Mobb Deep, eventually becoming an independent artist himself. He has also worked with the likes of Rick Ross, Jadakiss, The Game, and Jim Jones. 40XL’s last two projects; ‘Spike Lee’ featuring Jadakiss and The Game, released end of 2020; and ‘Gas,’ featuring Dave East released July 2021, have been breaking major airwaves and continue to build numbers across all platforms.
He first learned the ropes by focusing on his lyrics as he knew he had to be ‘sharp with the pen.’ Coming up in a time when you had to have talent as far as writing and recording, it was all about experiences and the flow of thought. The creative process was important to use to connect with the people and he was focused on creating a street narrative. Nowadays, for 40XL, it’s all about the lyrical exercise where he can push other artists, in friendly competition, bar for bar.
In 2017, 40XL launched Code Blue Fit to bridge the gap of music by merging fitness with various brands. His father trained top UFC fighters which afforded him the opportunity to become New York City and state champion for 10 years. He cleverly used his experience and know-how to work with talented athletes such as boxer Big Baby Miller, and UFC champion, Jon Jones. This company was a fitness apparel brand, supplement brand, and entertainment company providing marketing, DJs, and hosting for the grand opening events of gyms like UFC Gym and health food restaurants like Protein House.
40XL has also tapped into an ever-growing opportunity by partnering with a multi-million dollar real estate company to invest in both short- and long-term rental properties. He already has secured properties in areas that include: Los Angeles, and crypto.com Arena, working on securing properties in Memphis, and actively seeking investors in Phoenix, Arizona. He is also working on rebranding one of the most memorable adult-friendly entities the world has ever known. Through all of these current business ventures, 40XL has never been able to step away from his true love, which is music.
He is working on his most recent album, ‘King DNA’, including the singles “Spike Lee,” and “Gas,”, featuring artists like The Game, Jadakiss, Dave East, and Havoc from Mobb Deep.
The singles will be released at the beginning of the year 2023 to roll out into the album and it will be available on all music platforms. 40XL’s ultimate goal is to let people see the creativity, hear lyrics that give a full view of who he is, and reach out and touch those that can relate to him through his lyrics. He wants to continue building an empire of generational wealth and knowledge and help as many people as he can while giving back to the less fortunate.
