Coco Jones is honored to have been included as one of the artists invited to perform at the 2023 BET Awards, scheduled to broadcast live on Sunday, June 25, from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Her song “ICU” has spent four weeks as the top song on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, and her achievements have earned her her first career nominations for Best New Artist, Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, and Best Actress.
“ICU,” produced by Camper, has achieved a gold certification from the RIAA for selling 500,000 equivalent units and has become the number one song on urban radio. This hit is featured on Jones’ debut EP, What I Didn’t Tell You, in both the standard and deluxe versions.
BET Networks recently announced the nominees for the 2023 BET Awards, which included big names such as Beyoncé, SZA, Chris Brown, Mariah Carey, The Weeknd, Usher, Ari Lennox, dvsn, Brent Faiyaz, and FLO. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, legends like the Sugarhill Gang, MC Lyte, Big Daddy Kane, Fat Joe, E-40, GloRilla, Trick Daddy, Warren G, and Remy Ma have also been invited to the show. The host for the event is yet to be announced, but viewers are sure to be treated to a spectacular night of hip-hop celebration.
